Screenwriter/Filmmaker: Matthew Fontenot
Country: USA
Category: Script-History, Romance, Drama
Short Synopsis: You may have heard of the legend of Evangeline and the Acadian Expulsion in 1755. Become a part of her story and witness how the powerful love between Evangeline and Gabriel is tested. Experience the strength of that love again as Evangeline's descendants, Colinda and Julian, are separated during the hurricanes of 2005 which caused another dispersion of humanity in south Louisiana in THE LOST ACADIANS. The legend of Evangeline tells of tragedy, resilience, and true love. The stories of her people are still endeared in modern day tragedies such as hurricanes and oil spills. Follow present day Acadian descendant Colinda as the same resilience as her ancestors are required to overcome the terrible hardships of Coastal Louisiana.
