Short Synopsis: Extreme wheat her conditions lash the plateau keeping people in a state of constant struggle, from which there is no escape. The elements mold the landscape into an abstract beauty that goes beyond its own geological context. The soundtrack identifies with an invisible, virtual traveler and guides the spectator through a direct confrontation with the overwhelming nature and the destiny of its spare population.

Detailed Synopsis: Extreme weather conditions lash the plateau and mold the landscape into an abstract beauty that goes beyond its own geological context. Here nature is the ruler and the formidable adversary of the local people, who are locked in a state of constant struggle from which there is no escape. The few people who manage to live on this Bolivian Altiplano with all their strength try to carve out a meager subsistence as farmers or miners. But the arid climate, volcanic activity, the relentless sun and ceaseless windstend to destroy all human activity.The film is an experimental documentary that takes the spectator on a walking tour on the Altiplano in an effort to give a poetic impression of the prevailing harsh weather conditions and the adaptations of the local people to them. The film does not use a portrayed person to involve the audience. Instead, it is the soundtrack that identifies with an invisible, virtual traveler who guides the spectator through a direct confrontation with the overwhelming nature and the efforts of tough local people to survive the violence of the elements. The split screen provides dense visual information and together with the soundtrack submerges the audience in this inescapable relationship between nature and humans.
