Resume:
Wes Hurley: Agent, Cinematographer/DP, Director, Editor, Manager, Preview Return, Print Return, Print Shipper, Producer, Publicist, Sound Editor, Submission Contact
Wes Hurley was born and raised in the former Soviet Union. Upon immigrating to the United States he received his BA from the University of Washington double-majoring in Interdisciplinary Arts and Drama. After working for a few years as an actor and visual artist he purchased his first camera and started making self-written and produced shorts employing and collaborating with Seattle’s top theater actors and performing artists. WAXIE MOON is his first documentary and first feature.

Marc Kenison: Lead Actor
After countless years of tap and disco lessons throughout California, Marc Kenison (aka "Waxie Moon") began his formal dance training at the Interlochen Arts Academy and went on to receive his BFA from The Juilliard School. Upon graduating, Marc joined The Jose Limon Dance Company, with whom he danced leading roles worldwide, including tours to war-torn Sarajevo and El Salvador, and a performance at The White House for former President William Jefferson Clinton and First Lady Hilary Rodham Clinton. In 2004, Marc received his MFA in Acting from the prestigious Professional Actor Training Program at The University of Washington and co-founded Seattle's critically acclaimed Washington Ensemble Theatre. Encouraged by his friend Miss Dirty Martini (the international burlesque sensation), Marc enrolled in The Academy of Burlesque and began to study the art of striptease. The stage personae of "Waxie Moon" was born; a titillating amalgam of high art, popular culture and neo-burlesque. The character of Waxie Moon is wrought with contradictions – defiantly male and female, she is both raunchy stripper and high art queer priestess (channeling Martha Graham, Isadora Duncan, Celine Dion and others) With his/her exceptional dancing ability, expressive acting and comedic expertise, Waxie entertains and challenges audiences throughout the country. He/she has performed "boylesque" for Margaret Cho, Cyndi Lauper, Carson Kreseley (Queer Eye for the Straight Guy) and The B-52's on stages ranging from dingy gay bars to On The Boards and The Seattle Repertory Theater. Marc has also taught and lectured about performance and burlesque at
various universities and festivals, including American University, Evergreen State College and Cornish College for the Arts.
